Blues again set for changes ahead of Fulham clash

Chelsea can reclaim third position in the Premier League this evening with victory over Fulham in the West London Derby.

Rafael Benitez is expected to once again make changes to the starting line-up, with captain John Terry and Frank Lampard expected to be recalled.

However, Gary Cahill and Ashley Cole will not be rushed back from their respective injuries.

Meanwhile, Fulham manager Martin Jol has laughed off suggestions that he could make a move for Frank Lampard at the end of the season.

Jol described the 34 year old as “the most productive midfielder player in England in the last 30 or 40 years” before concluding that he would be more likely to sign for a bigger club.

Elsewhere, David Luiz has accepted Sergio Aguero’s apology for the latter’s two-footed tackle on the Brazilian during Sunday’s FA Cup Quarter Final defeat to Manchester City.

Aguero cannot face further action from the Football Association after referee Chris Foy admitted that he had seen some part of the challenge.

Finally, the Metro have claimed that a deal worth around £20 million has at last been agreed between Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen for German international Andre Schurrle.

It is believed that the club had three bids for the forward turned down last year, though it appears that they have finally got their man.
