Chelsea have once again been linked with a move for Zenti St Petersburg forward Hulk.
The Mirror report that the Blues have turned to Brazilian after missing out on number one target Radamel Falcao, who last week signed for French Ligue 1 side Monaco.
The club were close to agreeing a deal for the player last summer but could not agree a deal with the 26 year olds then club Porto.
Hulk – real name Givanildo Vieira de Souza –has struggled since signing making the reported £50 million move to Russia a year ago, and it is thought that Zenit are ready to cut their losses.
The Blues are keen to recruit another striker, with Fernando Torres linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge and Romelu Lukaku potentially set for another loan spell to continue his development.
Edinson Cavani is still thought to be very much on the clubs radar, though Napoli are keen to keep hold of their prize asset.
Meanwhile, Germany international Andre Schurrle’s proposed move from Bayer Leverkusen has ‘not yet been agreed’ according to Rudi Voller.
However, the Bundesliga side’s general manager told Deutsche Presseagentur that they remain hopeful that a deal can be done.
