The Mirror understands that West Ham United are preparing a loan bid for Chelsea striker Demba Ba.
The Senegal international scored just two goals in fourteen league appearances for the Blues since signing from Newcastle United for £7milliom in January.
Since returning as Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho has been linked with a number of high profile strikers, putting Ba’s future at the club in doubt.
Edinson Cavani of Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen’s Andre Schurrle and Stevan Jovetic of Fiorentina have all strongly been linked with the club, who are also reportedly considering a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.
Ba had a short spell with the Hammers when he first came to England, but was unable to stop them being relegated to the Championship though seven goals in twelve appearances secured him a move to Newcastle.
Sam Allardyce is keen to take Ba to partner Andy Carroll, who is expected to secure a permanent move to Upton Park this summer.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail have reported that the former Blackburn Rovers boss is also considering a move for Romelu Lukaku, following his successful season on loan with West Bromwich Albion.
They say that the Belgian international is their number one target, and will pounce if Chelsea are willing to send him out on loan again.
