The current Premier League season sees the Chelsea team losing points in the games. The recent loss that they suffered was to Manchester City on home grounds. This has led them away from the top four positions that they were aiming for. Many are now wondering whether Graham Potter will be replaced. However, Todd Boehly has made up his mind already.  Even if Graham has not been able to get Chelsea among the top four on the Premier League’s current leaderboard, he will continue as the Blue’s manager.

He was appointed in September last year. Atthat time Premier League games were interrupted for the World Cup 2022. After that, once they resumed, Chelsea was yet to perform well in the ongoing games. Since Potter joined the west London team Chelsea has much to make up to reach top positions on the scoreboard. The latest loss was the defeat that Chelsea took to Manchester City. They are now in the tenth position. It leaves them 10 points poorer outside the top four teams. It is now in the vicinity of teams such as Fulham and Brentford.

Of course, Chelsea is a two-time champion of the Premier League tournament. Potter had helped Brighton when he was with them. This time he has to work his magic with Chelsea. Currently, they have lost four and won one out of the last eight matches they played.

Boehly is also taking a long-term attitude with Potter. The latter has been signed on for five years with a deal amounting to 50 million EUR. Hence, he needs time to develop the players, which also needs financial investment. This is a major football club where Potter needs to prove himself. The Chelsea squad was handed over to him by Tuchel.
