Eto’o praises Mourinho amid Chelsea link

Samuel Eto’o has been speaking of his admiration for Jose Mourinho, amid speculation linking the former Cameroon international with a move to Stamford Bridge.

The 32 year old has reportedly been lined up as an alternative to Wayne Rooney, should Manchester United refuse to part company with the England international.

Eto’o spent the 2009/10 season playing under Mourinho at Inter Milan, where together they won the Serie A title, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.

The Blues were made aware of the strikers availability after it was revealed that Anzhi Makhachkala were attempting to move on some of their big earners in order to comply with UEFA’s financial fair play rules.

Meanwhile, Dani Alves has spoken of his desire for his friend and international teammate David Luiz to join him at Barcelona.

The Catalan club, who are looking to strengthen their back-line ahead of their title defence, recently had a £30m bid for the defender rejected by the Blues and are reportedly lining up an improved bid.

However, Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he wants to keep hold of the 26 year old, who has scored 12 goals in 109 appearances since signing from Benfica in January 2011.
