Chelsea have beaten Manchester United in the race to sign Dutch international midfielder Marco Van Winkel from Vitesse Arnhem, the Metro understands.
The 20 year old is set to undergo a medical with the club ahead of the £8million transfer, and will become the Blues second new signing of the summer following the arrival of Germany striker Andre Schurrle.
Meanwhile, Brazilian striker Hulk has admitted that he would be happy to stay at Zenit St. Petersburg should an agreement with another club not be reached.
Chelsea have been linked with the 26 year old, who was part of Brazil’s victorious Confederations Cup squad last month, while Tottenham Hotspur and big spending Monaco are also said to be interested.
