Chelsea’s latest Premier League result saw them sustaining a 2-2 draw against West Ham United as the team of Guus Hiddink had to settle with only being able to claim 1 point from this game.
There is a question that is surrounding Chelsea and it’s the decision of Guus Hiddink to not give any playing time to the Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato who joined from Corinthians on a loan deal which extends until the end of the current season in the summer.
This loan deal was completed in January of the ongoing year but the Brazilian player still has not managed to get any time on the pitch with the main team of Chelsea. It’s been almost 2 months since Pato joined the Premier League club but he still has not played for Chelsea in any league match which is a rather surprising thing to see especially after taking into consideration that Diego Costa couldn’t play in this match due to injury.
Alexandre Pato’s time in Stamford Bridge is extremely limited as the Brazilian only has a few months before his contract expires but even with his diminished time in the Premier League club, Guus Hiddink still prefers utilizing other players ahead of Pato. It’s no wonder there are so many transfer rumours about where he will head to next.
When Chelsea’s match against West Ham United was over, Guus Hiddink was asked about the reasoning behind leaving Alexandre Pato on the sidelines and instead opting to go with Loic Remy and after Loic Remy was replaced in the 2nd half of the game, it was Bertrand Traore who entered the pitch while Pato continued his spell on the sidelines.
From the looks of it, Guus Hiddink has not been impressed by what Alexandre Pato has been displaying in the training sessions and it might be why Pato still has not gotten time in any league game for Chelsea.
