Mourinho set to face press

Jose Mourinho is preparing to face the media for the first time since returning to Stamford Bridge as manager.

The 50 year old last week signed a four year contract with the Blues, and his first press conference of his second spell will take place this afternoon.

It is nine years since Mourinho’s initial arrival in London, when he famously told the media that he was a ‘Special One’.

Discussions on the future of a number of squad will no doubt be on the agenda, as well as the several transfer targets the Chelsea have been linked with, not least the plethora of strikers rumoured to be moving to the club.

The Express claims that the Blues will bid around £90million for Edinson Cavani and Hulk, whilst the club have also been alerted to reports that Borussia Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski will not be joining Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.

However, the Express also understand that Belgiium international Romelu Lukaku will be part of Jose Mourinho’s plans for the forthcoming campaign, and so will not be loaned out again.

The 20 year old excelled during his season long spell with West Bromwich Albion, scoring seventeen goals in thirty-five Premier League appearances.
