Real Madrid are considering a bid for Chelsea midfielder Ramires as they seek a replacement for Mesut Ozil, the Daily Star understands.
The Spanish giants shocked many by sanctioning Ozil’s £42.4m move to Arsenal on transfer deadline day, and despite bringing in a plethora of new midfielders themselves, Real are keen to secure the services of the Brazil international.
Ramires joined the Blues from Benfica in 2010, and has made 160 appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge, scoring 24 goals in all competitions.
Meanwhile, the club are set to offer Demba Ba as a makeweight in a deal to try and sign Burak Yilmaz from Galatasaray, according to the Express.
Reports in Turkey suggest the Jose Mourinho is keen on landing the 28 year old, who almost joined Lazio during the summer.
Arsenal and Liverpool are also said to be interested in Yilmaz, though Mourinho is hopeful that by throwing Ba into the mix, he can steal a march on their rivals.
Elsewhere, Michael Laudrup has revealed that Chelsea made an enquiry about his availability before bringing Jose Mourinho back to the club for a second spell, ESPN understands.
His brother Brian played eleven times for the club during the 1998/99 campaign.
