Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has kept his cards close to his chest regarding the future of Jadon Sancho, whose loan from Manchester United is set to end at the conclusion of the current season. Instead, the Chelsea manager emphasized that his current focus is entirely on finishing the season strongly, with nine crucial games remaining.

“All the players that are with us, I love all of them,” Maresca stated. “But right now, it’s the moment to focus on finishing well. It’s not the time to think about next season. I’m completely focused on the nine games we have left. After that, we’ll see what happens in the summer. I want everyone here to be happy to be here.”

Maresca went on to say that while Sancho’s form could improve, his situation was no different from that of other players at the club, all of whom need to step up as Chelsea looks to close out the season on a high note.

“For sure, in terms of numbers, Jadon could do better, no doubt about that,” Maresca acknowledged. “But it’s not just Jadon. We have more players in the same situation. I don’t need to give Jadon a special message because I speak with him every day. I had a conversation with him yesterday. He just needs to give his best until the end of the season, and that’s what we expect from him.”

Sancho’s return to form will be crucial in the final stretch of Chelsea’s campaign. Since joining the Blues on loan, he has contributed two goals and seven assists in 28 Premier League appearances, but has struggled to maintain consistent output in recent months.
