Luiz rejected Barcelona offer

Chelsea defender David Luiz has revealed that he turned down a move to Barcelona during the recently closed transfer window, according to the Express.

The Brazil international was linked with a move to the Nou Camp all summer, and he himself has confirmed that their interest was backed up by an official approach which he in turn rejected.

Another Blues player interesting the La Liga champions is goalkeeper Thibaut Courtios, according to Talksport.

The highly-regarded Dutch defender was expected to return to his homeland, where seven Chelsea players currently reside.

Finally, the Metro understands that Nathaniel Chalobah is wanted by Championship sides Wigan Athletic and Watford.
