Cavani decision expected next month

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentis has told an Italian radio station that he expects Chelsea target Edinson Cavani to have made a decision on his future by July 20th, Sky Sports understands.

The Uruguayan forward has long been linked with a big money move to Stamford Bridge, with Real Madrid also interested.

Elsewhere, incoming Paris Saint Germain coach Laurent Blanc wants to make David Luiz his first signing, the Daily Mail understands.

The 47 year old, who is set to replace former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti this week, is on the lookout for a new centre-back following reports that Brazilian defender Alex wants to return to his home country.

Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Luiz, who is set to undergo surgery after breaking his nose in Brazil’s 2-0 win over Mexico in the Confederations Cup last Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Fernando Torres last night added to his Confederations Cup tally, scoring in between Jordi Alba’s two goals in Spain’s 3-0 win over Nigeria yesterday evening.

The Chelsea striker, who won the Golden Boot in Euro 2012, is currently on five goals having played just 120 minutes of the tournament so far.

Spain will play Italy in the semi-finals on Thursday evening.
